Santa Claus Begins his 2019 Christmas Eve Journey

NORTH POLE — Officials at the North Pole confirmed to MyChesCo that Santa Claus began his 2019 Christmas Eve journey just after 5:00 am EST (UTC-5)‎. Verified Santa sightings are now coming in from Antarctica, New Zealand, West Somoa, and other locations.

When will Santa arrive at my house?

There is no precise method for predicting when Santa will arrive at your house. The good news is if you want to keep an eye out for St. Nickolas, NORAD, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, has been tracking Santa since 1955 and is continuing the tradition this year.

Santa usually makes his appearance between 10 p.m. and midnight on Christmas Eve within the given timezone. However, it is very important little girls and boys are in bed and asleep early. He will arrive on the East Coast at roughly 10:10 pm, visiting Florida first and working his way north.

The North Pole control center anticipates Santa reaching Pennsylvania by 10:40 pm. Because Chester County is in the southern part of the state, we should expect to receive confirmation of his visits at or very shortly after this time.

You can track Santa through NORAD’s live feed, which shows where Santa and his reindeer are in real-time. Those interested in staying current with Santa’s status can download an iOS or Android application to their smartphone or tablet, or by visiting the official website at noradsanta.org or their Facebook page.

How does Santa enter a house without a chimney?

No chimney, no worries. Santa is still coming. With roughly only 40 percent of homes in the United States having a chimney, many children worry the Jolly Ole Elf will not be able to make his visit. According to Treacletart Tinselpudding, the North Pole’s Public Affairs Elf, Santa makes use of a “magic key” to enter homes, apartments, townhouses and condos without a chimney.

Of course, much like Santa’s sleigh and gift sack, what we call magic is actually ancient elf technology. Moreover, while labeled a “magic key”, the device has many more functions than unlocking doors. Using a combination of sound waves, wavelengths, frequencies, signals and electro-magnetism, Santa’s “magic key” works as a multifunction tool.

Some of the specific uses of Santa’s “magic key” include:

  • Unlocking or locking doors
  • Deactivating and activating security systems
  • Repairing electronic equipment, such as Christmas lights
  • Operating computers, cell phones, and other devices
  • Installing and removing screws and other fasteners
  • Global positioning and geolocation

Of course, this is a very short list of the “magic key’s” capabilities.  Ultimately, it is a highly versatile tool that can manipulate both matter and energy to perform almost any needed task.
