COATESVILLE, PA — Now in its fourth year, the Pavilion of Trees presented by Elite Therapy Solutions returns to Coatesville on Friday, December 2 as part of Christmas in Coatesville, all in the name of community spirit and goodwill.
Each tree in the Pavilion will express the creativity and imagination of a business, organization or individual sponsor that will decorate the tree and take part in a friendly competition for top prize. Registration is open through November 10th for businesses, organizations or individuals who would like to sponsor and decorate a tree. On December 2, the community is invited to stroll through Gateway Park, magically transformed into a winter wonderland amidst the twinkling lights and pageantry of 30 community-sponsored Christmas trees, and witness the traditional Coatesville tree-lighting ceremony. Music, food trucks, carolers, hot chocolate, a kids’ station, and Santa Claus will be there!
Free and open to the public, the event runs from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the tree-lighting ceremony at 6:00 p.m.
A panel of judges will select the top two tree displays, and a “People’s Choice” vote will determine third place. Sponsors of these top three trees will have monetary prizes ($1500 for first place; $750 each for second and third places) donated on their behalf to the local charity or non-profit of their choice. The remaining proceeds will be donated to Coatesville Parks and Recreation. Trees will be displayed in Gateway Park through New Year’s Day.
“The Pavilion of Trees is a wonderful way to support individuals and organizations in need, while spreading good cheer throughout the community,” says Patrick Kinzeler, Director of Administration at Elite Therapy Solutions. “The annual event is one of my favorite holiday traditions, and I hope the community will come out to celebrate the season and share good cheer with their friends and neighbors!”
