Pennsylvania is not only known for producing award-winning brews and wines, but also cider and distilled products, many of which are made with the agriculture grown right here in the Keystone State. Explore one of these cideries and distilleries while enjoying scenic views at the orchards and farms where they’re made.

Old Republic Distillery
Dutch Country Roads – York
Nestled in the picturesque town of Seven Valleys, Pa., Old Republic Distillery is York County’s first distillery since prohibition. Each of their products are made from local agriculture and are handcrafted for superior quality. Visitors can taste many of their unique spirits including Blackberry Vodka, Love Potion and Battlefield Vodka in the tasting room.

Philadelphia Distilling
Philadelphia and the Countryside – Philadelphia
Philadelphia Distilling is known for producing well-known spirits including Bluecoat Barrel American Dry Gin® and Penn 1681 Vodka. Opened in February of 2017 in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, visitors can explore the new 13,000 square-foot distillery that includes a tasting room, restaurant, liquor store, event space and patio. Guided tours and tastings will be offered several times a week.

Blackbird Distillery
The PA Wilds – Brookville
Blackbird Distillery creates a variety of old-fashioned moonshine. With 21 varieties ranging from peach and pineapple to root beer and traditional American shine, there’s a taste for everyone to enjoy. Visitors can explore the distillery to sample various moonshines, as well as smoked meats made with their homemade pepper mixes and seasonings.

Jack’s Hard Cider

Jack’s Hard Cider is produced and canned by Hauser Estate Winery in Biglerville, Pa. Located eight miles from historic Gettysburg, visitors can explore Hauser Winery to taste Jack’s Hard Cider made from apples grown in Adams County. These one-of-a-kind handcrafted ciders are never from concentrate and create a great taste experience for cider lovers.

Frecon Farms’ Cidery

Frecon’s Cidery is a family-owned destination in Berks County, producing traditional cidery with locally grown apples from their family orchard. Visitors can enjoy picturesque views as they explore the cidery and sample the various blends of aromatic apples.

Maggie’s Farm Distilling
Pittsburgh and its Countryside – Pittsburgh
Visit Maggie’s Farm Distilling to see products distilled from scratch in the copper potstill. In fact, they’re the maker of Pennsylvania’s first commercially available craft rum. Visitors can shop for bottles Wednesday through Sunday and even get a taste during cocktail hours on Friday and Saturday.

Wyndridge Farm
Dutch Country Roads – Dallastown
Wyndridge Farm is a 77-acre property located in southern York County, featuring a renovated 120-year-old barn, cidery and brewery, along with a majestic tasting room. The is not only a craft beverage destination, but also York County’s first and only hard cider company. Wyndridge Farm’s ciders are made with high-quality apples that are grown in central Pennsylvania. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views at Wyndridge Farm and tour the property to see why Wyndridge Farm was awarded the 2018 Small Business of the Year Award from the York County Economic Alliance.

Dad’s Hat® Distilling
Philadelphia and the Countryside – Bristol
Dad’s Hat® Distilling’s mission is to deliver classic Pennsylvania rye spirits that follow more than 200 years of American tradition, using locally sourced ingredients to distill their famous whiskey. Visit the distillery to see what goes into making this traditional spirit and why it’s recognized as “Craft Whiskey Distillery of the Year” in the March 2015 issue of Whiskey Advocate.

Thistle Finch Distillery

Federal Distilling, Stateside Urbancraft Vodka

Beginning October 2015, Federal Distilling joined the next generation of crafters with its debut of Stateside Vodka. Unlike most vodka, Stateside is made, small-batch by small-batch, using GMO-free grown corn and infusing it with oxygen and minerals before filtering it seven times.

Stoll & Wolfe Distillery

Once home to the oldest distillery, Bomberger Distillery-dating back to 1753, Erik Wolfe and Dick Stoll reopen the doors to this historic distillery and name it their own-literally. Stoll & Wolfe offers distilling traditions dating back to 1753; each bottle represents collaboration across generations and traditions to preserve the history and future legacy of Pennsylvania Craft Whiskey. Stoll & Wolfe Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey also received a 95/100 “Extraordinary, Ultimate Recommendation” in the 2018 Ultimate Spirits Challenge.

Wigle Whiskey

Named after one of PA’s Western pioneering distillers, Phillip Wigle, this family-owned distillery has been the most awarded craft whiskey distillery for four consecutive years by the U.S. by the American Craft Spirits Association. Wigle has won Best in Category Craft Rye Whiskey (2015), Best in Category Wheat Whiskey (2016), and Best in Category and Class Gin (2016 & 2018).
