SALT Keeping the Arts Alive with a Series of Fun FALL Events

CHESTER SPRINGS, PA — SALT Performing Arts, keeping the arts alive with a fabulous fall fundraising line-up including, RISE UP, a night of SALT show tunes throughout the years and a means for the community to become a part of SALT’s history.

SALT continues to think outside of the box to keep the arts and community strong with the announcement of three fall fundraising events including a six year anniversary celebration called RISE UP, a Fall Festival, and Teen Hang Out Nights.

Ever since the shut-down in March, SALT has had to adapt to the pandemic restrictions and circumstances to keep their community connected and the arts alive. Despite the challenges through it all, SALT has brought the community connected via online Cooped Up Cabarets, Beyond the Walls outside drive-in concerts, an outdoor Good Ol Fashioned Variety Show, and soon: an outside production of The Last Five Years, as well as an indoor dinner theatre production of Nunsense with performers in glass boxes.

SALT’s biggest fall fundraiser is RISE UP, a way to celebrate SALT’s 6 year anniversary, as well as a means to stay solvent despite pandemic restrictions. SALT is holding this ONE NIGHT ONLY fundraising event on October 24 at 7PM, featuring musical numbers from every SALT musical with original cast members performing them. This live event is being offered via a ticket at the theatre or via a live stream link. The limited tickets to attend in person are $100 (which includes a SALT wine to-go tumbler), and those who are not comfortable doing so may purchase a code to watch it live streamed at home for $50. In addition, SALT will be adorning a new mural on its Lobby wall with birds engraved with the name of ticket holders to thank and honor them for their part in keeping SALT in flight during this trying time.

“SALT, like all the performing arts, has been continually challenged to come up with ingenious and fresh ways to keep our business and community afloat during the pandemic. I couldn’t be prouder of our creative team that has risen to the occasion over and over again to quickly shift gears to make our next big idea happen,” comments Lauren McComas, President and Artistic Director of SALT Performing Arts. “This fall we’ve come up with three terrific events including SALT’s Rise Up, a celebration of six years of theatre, but more importantly, six years of  celebrating the community that continues to be the wind beneath our wings, helping us to stay in flight during this trying time, and we don’t EVER want to forget it.”
