“The drive-in concert series has been received with so much enthusiasm and happiness. We’ve found that the community is eager for excellent  live entertainment and are appreciative of the covid friendly atmosphere of a drive-in,” comments Lauren McComas, President and Artistic Director of SALT Performing Arts. “Local eating establishments benefit too since most of  the patrons pick up takeout to enjoy while they take in some of the best voices around. Our whiz kid line-ups for July 24 and 25th have talent way way beyond their years. We’ve got songs from hit Broadway shows including: Matilda, Shrek, Into the Woods, and Seussical, just to name a few.”

Since the quarantine began, in lieu of live performances, SALT hosted the weekly Cooped Up Cabaret, a “live” premiere of SALT performers singing songs that had been chosen earlier in the week via a poll on which SALT followers voted. Friday, June 12, was the first time SALT was able to showcase its talent live for an audience again.
