KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Chester County’s only professional symphony orchestra, Kennett Symphony, is all set to roll out the red carpet for its 84th season. Under the passionate guidance of Michael Hall, the Music Director who is now in his 11th season, the upcoming season promises a mesmerizing medley of magical music.

The new season, showcasing one special event complemented by seven splendid concerts, will hone the diverse talents of three stellar guest soloists – Lun Li, Benett Tsai, and Ana Vidovic. Also featured are several intimate concerts that will spotlight the tremendously skilled brass, woodwind, and string ensembles of the Kennett Symphony.

Kickstarting the season on October 6th would be the annual fundraiser, The Classics 2024, a garden-party themed event that aims to raise funds to continue Kennett Symphony’s tradition of innovative, first-class programming. As part of the grandeur, attendees would be indulging in a gourmet brunch, casual viewing of classic cars, live entertainment by the Klinefelter Quartet, and will conclude with a presentation of the People’s Choice Best of Show Award.

The season formally starts with the Masterworks 1: Classical Brilliance concert, an opportunity to experience the enchanting notes of Jessie Montgomery’s Strum, Samuel Barber’s Violin Concerto, performed by Lun Li, and Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8. A not-to-miss pre-concert talk with Michael Hall, post-concert Q&A with the conductor, soloist, and select musicians are also in store for the attendees.

Next in line is the Reimagined Concert Experience, an audio-visual treat where classical music meets innovative multimedia projections. An open and friendly setting adds to the charm of the event, making it an ideal experience for both first-time attendees and regular patrons. The event will be featuring Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 45 “Farewell”.

Masterworks 2: Inspirations is another anticipated concert inspired by the stunning surroundings of Longwood Gardens, featuring works of Gabriel Fauré, Luigi Boccherini, Caroline Shaw, and Ottorino Respighi.

On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the Mother’s Day Chamber Music promises an exemplary chamber music performance by Kennett Symphony’s String Quartet. Also on offer are optional tickets to Winthur’s Museum, Garden, Library and Exhibitions.

Wrapping up the season is Masterworks 3: Fiesta, a grand finale filled with the fiery rhythms of Gabriella Ortiz’s Kauyumari, Manuel de Falla’s Ritual Fire Dance, Joaquin Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, Lloyd Weber’s Music From Evita, Arturo Piazzolla’s Libertango, Georges Bizet’s Selections from Carmen, and Alberto Ginastera’s Estancia: Ballet Suite.
