PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia, prepare to be electrified! The Atomic Light Orchestra (ALO), a tribute band celebrated by fans of the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), is set to grace the stage at City Winery for the very first time. This one-night-only performance will take place on January 7, 2024. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with the show commencing at 7:30 pm, promising an evening of musical nostalgia.

Hailing from Baltimore, the six-piece ensemble includes Dennis Schocket (Guitar, Lead Vocals), whose vocals bear a remarkable resemblance to Jeff Lynne’s, Gregg Simmons (Guitar, Lead Vocals), lauded for his falsetto and guitar prowess, Bronson Wagner (Bass, Keys, Lead Vocals), tasked with recreating the iconic ELO bass rumble, Phil Brotman (Drums), John Kelly (Keyboards, Vocals), and the newest member, Greta Thomas (Violin).

The band was formed following an ELO concert in 2018, filling a void left by the band’s break-up. “Melodic pop songs filled with orchestration and dramatic harmonies… Hearing those songs today is like being wrapped in a quilt of comfort,” says Schocket.

Replicating the ELO sound is no easy feat, but ALO rises to the challenge, performing all songs without the aid of computers or pre-recorded sounds. Their authentic live productions have left audiences stunned, claiming they sound “just like the recording” on hits such as “Evil Woman,” “Mr. Blue Sky,” “Don’t Bring Me Down,” and more.

For an unforgettable night of music that harks back to the golden era of pop, don’t miss Atomic Light Orchestra’s debut Philadelphia performance. Tickets are on sale now here, so secure your seat and prepare for an evening of classic hits that will transport you back in time.
