WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester International Short Film Festival will celebrate its 17th Fest from Friday, April 28th through Sunday, April 30th, 2023 at the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center. With three days of short film blocks, parties, workshops, Pop-up Blocks, and more, the Festival brings films from dozens of countries to Downtown West Chester, PA in a celebration of independent filmmaking.

“This year, the Fest is celebrating community,” says Victoria Rose, Sponsorship Coordinator. “From our own hometown to the communities we create online, from collaboration to facing challenges with the help of our friends, we know that we are all stronger when we come together.”

During the weekend, over 50 films will be shown by from filmmakers around the world in every genre. In a single two-hour block of films, audiences can experience the thrill of drama, an intriguing documentary, a creative art piece, whimsical animation, farcical comedy, and more! Don’t miss the Opening Night Party, the Filmmakers Meet & Greet, or the Closing Night Chester Awards Party—there is something for everyone all weekend long.

“We are thrilled to have some superb local films this year which tell some really big international stories and highlight what makes West Chester so special,” says Carol Quigley, President of the WCFF. “Audiences are in for a treat, and we can’t wait to share what we have planned to make this our best Fest ever!”
