Santa Excited About the 2019 Coatesville Christmas Parade

COATESVILLE, PA — The Coatesville Christmas Parade is a beloved tradition dating back to the 1950s. This year held on December 3, 2022, at 10:00 am, the parade will feature Mummers bands, local elementary, middle, and high school groups, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Brownies., dance academies, cheerleading groups hip-hop dancers baton twirlers and larger-than-life cartoon characters. Santa Claus will make an appearance riding on a Coatesville Fire Department truck.

This year’s competitions will include Best Appearing Fire Apparatus; all the local fire companies in Western Chester County will be represented. Chester County police departments will compete for Best Appearing Police Vehicle. There is a Best Appearing Float sponsored by a non-profit organization with prizes of $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place. Additionally, there is also a Best Appearing Float sponsored by a for-profit organization.

The Coatesville Christmas Parade isn’t just about the competitions, it’s about family fun! With so much to see and do, it’s an event you won’t want to miss. So mark your calendars for December 3rd at 10:00 am and come out to the 2022 Coatesville Christmas Parade!
