Chester County Dairy Farm Tour Goes Virtual

COCHRANVILLE, PA — Families will have the opportunity to visit a local dairy farm without ever leaving home. Chester County’s Ar-Joy Farms is the final stop in 2020 on American Dairy Association North East’s “Fun on the Farm” series, airing on Facebook Saturday, November 21 at 10 a.m.

This week, dairy farmer Marilyn Hershey will discuss how Ar-Joy Farms’ use of cutting-edge technology and ecological practices are able to increase sustainability efforts on the farm.

“We’re excited for the opportunity for families to visit our farm virtually to learn about our sustainable practices, from our methane digester to planting stream buffers and cover crops.”

This is the second season for the popular “Fun on the Farm” series, which launched in March. More than a dozen dairy farms throughout New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland have hosted these virtual tours, with topics ranging from sustainability practices and technology on the farm to animal care, among others.
