MALVERN, PA — Looking for fun things to do with your children after school is out for the summer? Historic Sugartown is excited to introduce new Children’s Marbling Workshop into our series of Book Bindery workshops. This 2-hour marbling class will take place on Friday, June 15th. Colonial Williamsburg-trained instructor, Ramon Townsend of ColonialBindery.com, has developed a shortened version of our regular paper marbling workshop that will be fun for parents and children.
You and your child will learn the art of floating and designing watercolors on a base fluid then permanently transferring the design to paper. The class is lead through the marbling process and taught design techniques. Participants take home their finished papers along with step-by-step instructions. Marbling is one of the easiest crafts any child can master- literally in just a few minutes your child will become an accomplished marbler. It’s a mistake free art, and one of the most creative and beautiful. Participants will make 10-20 sheets of marbled paper. As we say with marbling “Your imagination is your limitation.”
Workshop Admission: $35/Child & Adult. Recommended for ages 5 – 12. All children must be accompanied by an adult. An adult must be present for the entire workshop. One additional child may be added for an additional $10. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 6 Child/Adult pairs.
