WEST CHESTER, PA — The Rotary Club of West Chester recently donated $1,000 worth of school supplies to the West Chester Area School District. The supplies included binders, pencils, erasers, index cards, glue sticks, paper, crayons, highlighters, colored pencils, rulers and more. Caseworkers for the school district divided the supplies and distributed them to economically disadvantaged students in the district’s 17 schools.

“We are so appreciative of the Rotary Club of West Chester’s continued donations of school supplies,” said Tricia Alston, West Chester Area School District social worker coordinator. “Their generosity goes such a long way in helping to make the start of the school year an exciting rather than stressful time for our families.”

This marks the 20th year that the Rotary Club has donated supplies to the District.
