WEST CHESTER, PA — The Rotary Club of West Chester recently donated $1,800 worth of school supplies to the West Chester Area School District. District caseworkers divided the supplies and distributed them to economically disadvantaged students in the district’s 17 schools.

“The start of the school year can be difficult for some families, and the cost of school supplies can really add up. Without the help of organizations like the Rotary Club of West Chester, some students in our district would begin the school year at an educational disadvantage,” said Tricia Alston, West Chester Area School District social worker coordinator. “Donations like these go a long way in helping those families.”

This marks the 19th year that the Rotary Club has donated supplies to the District. Penn Office Products also assisted with the project.
