WEST GROVE, PA — On May 14, Avon Grove School District’s (AGSD) Board of School Directors approved construction contracts for the new Avon Grove High School (AGHS) during a special board meeting following the Committee of the Whole (COW) Planning and Construction meeting.
This is remarkable news for the AGSD community, as the vote signifies the end of a multi-year process and provides hope and positivity for the future of Avon Grove.
The COW Planning and Construction meeting began with the reading of public comments that included over 60 statements in favor of moving forward with the construction project as planned. The support from the AGSD community was overwhelming.
AGSD has received approvals from the Penn Township Planning Commission and the Conservation District of Chester County. The Penn Township Board of Supervisors has issued an approval with conditions to move forward with the project. The District anticipates an official groundbreaking by mid to late June.
