Penn State Great Valley to Host LinkedIn Marketing Workshop

MALVERN, PA — Penn State Great Valley will be hosting a career transitions workshop titled “LinkedIn as Your Marketing Partner” on March 9, 2024. The session will be conducted by Marcia O’Connor, the CEO and Founder of The O’Connor Group.

The workshop will focus on LinkedIn Profile Optimization, Content Strategy, and networking. Attendees will learn how to create a compelling LinkedIn profile, develop a content strategy tailored for the platform’s professional audience, and build their network with industry professionals, potential clients, and partners.

After the presentation, My Career Transitions (MCT), a Chester County-based nonprofit, will facilitate a networking session. Attendees will have the chance to meet individuals from various industries and roles, providing an opportunity to expand their network and make valuable connections in a friendly and comfortable environment.

O’Connor, the workshop presenter, has over 16 years of experience in talent acquisition and human resources. Under her leadership, The O’Connor Group has received accolades such as the Inc. 5000 and Philadelphia Business Journals’ Best Places to Work. A passionate advocate for female entrepreneurs, O’Connor is also the founder of www.shadowher.org.

Founded in 2005, MCT has supported more than 15,000 job seekers in the Greater Philadelphia area by providing resources, information, and opportunities to network and learn new skills.

The event will run from 10 am to 12:15 pm, with networking opportunities available both before and after the presentation. Those unable to attend in person can join via Zoom. There is no charge to attend the event, but registration closes at noon the day prior.
