Enrollment Is Open for Reach Cyber Charter School’s 2021-22 Academic Year

Reach Cyber Charter School

HARRISBURG, PA — Reach Cyber Charter School, a unique tuition-free public cyber school serving K-12 students throughout Pennsylvania, is now enrolling students for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.

This year with the disruption that traditional schools experienced due to rolling COVID-19 shutdowns, more Pennsylvania families sought out Reach Cyber Charter School for its expertise in providing a high-quality online education program designed specifically for the virtual environment. Serving nearly 9,000 students across the state, Reach Cyber delivers a STEM-focused curriculum that emphasizes academics, social-emotional learning, and individualized support to prepare students to thrive in a changing world.

“Traditional education models were upended this year by the pandemic, and educators worked in overdrive to overcome the abrupt change to teaching virtually. As a full-time online school, we’re designed for remote learning, so our students and teachers didn’t need to adapt to new technology. I’m glad we could keep the focus on academics while also checking in on the mental and emotional wellbeing of our students and staff during this time and also bring new, incoming students up to speed quickly to interact and learn with their online Reach Cyber teachers and peers,” said Jane Swan, Reach Cyber Charter School CEO.

Swan added that parents were particularly pleased during the 2019-2020 school year. According to the results from Reach Cyber’s 2020 Parent Satisfaction Survey, 97% of parents agree their children are satisfied with the program, and 92% of parents would recommend Reach Cyber Charter School to parents whose children are not enrolled.

Reach Cyber students are diverse and come from all different backgrounds and educational histories. Some students are academically advanced and struggle in a traditional school setting, while some prefer to learn at their own pace. Other students may be experiencing health challenges or bullying, while others are athletes or performers who require a flexible learning schedule. Reach Cyber understands that no two students are alike and each and every one brings their own distinct talents, personalities, and pursuits to the online classroom. Reach Cyber provides students in K-12 with a highly-engaging curriculum, tailored learning plans and flexible scheduling. Reach Cyber students may choose from three flexible learning pace options, including a traditional calendar option, a year-round option, or for high school students, an accelerated schedule. Students might accelerate their classes to graduate early or extend their pace to devote more time to mastering the curriculum or accommodate working or extracurricular schedules.
