PHOENIXVILLE, PA — This year the Phoenixville Public Library will be hosting it’s 17th Annual Wine, Wit & Wisdom on a virtual platform featuring New York Times bestselling author Brit Bennett.
Bennett will be discussing her book The Vanishing Half, a new novel about twin sisters, inseparable as children, who ultimately choose to live in two very different worlds, one black and one white.
This virtual event will feature a silent auction as well as a gala box to be enjoyed in the comfort of your home while watching the live interview.
All gala boxes will include, a signed copy of Brit Bennett’s The Vanishing Half, delicious chocolates from Phoenixville’s Bridge Street Chocolates, wine of your choosing, and more. Gala boxes will be delivered or available pick it up at the Library from November 2nd to November 4th.
Born and raised in Southern California, Brit Bennett graduated from Stanford University and later earned her MFA in fiction at the University of Michigan, where she won a Hopwood Award in Graduate Short Fiction.
In 2014, Bennett received the Hurston/Wright Award for College Writers. She is a National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 honoree, and her debut novel The Mothers was a New York Times bestseller. Her second novel The Vanishing Half was an instant #1 New York Times bestseller.
Additionally, Bennett’s essays have been featured in The New Yorker, the New York Times Magazine, The Paris Review, and Jezebel.
