Chester County Intermediate Unit Partners with Admired Leadership Institute to Create Better Leaders

Chester County Intermediate Unit

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Starting March 17, 2022, over 45 educational professionals from Avon Grove School District (AGSD), the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU), Kennett Consolidated School District (KCSD), Owen J. Roberts School District (OJRSD), Springfield School District (SSD) and Tredyffrin/Easttown School District (TESD) will begin their journey toward becoming stronger leaders through the Admired Leadership® program, which teaches senior leaders how to manage through challenges, care for critical relationships, guide teams and students, and motivate and inspire by exploring behavioral choices that work. The program is designed to create continuous self-reflection, learning, application of Admired Leader® behaviors, and dialogue among participants.

Facilitating the program will be Dr. Randall Stutman, CEO and founder of the Admired Leadership® Institute and Dr. John Sanville superintendent of Unionville-Chadds Ford School District (UCFSD). Over the past 30 years, Stutman has studied more than 12,000 leaders to uncover the routines and behaviors of leadership excellence and, Sanville has over 11 years of experience as a superintendent of schools.

When asked her thoughts about participating in the program, Ashley Boyd, communications director at OJRSD and senior communications specialist at the CCIU, expressed her excitement, stating: “I am looking forward to learning how to be an effective and better leader throughout this program. While there are many ways to be a good leader, I like how this program addresses specific behaviors and habits that can contribute to my growth and ultimately make my organization a better place for all.”

Former Admired Leadership® program student and supervisor of secondary special education and online learning for UCFSD, Shannon Brown, discussed her experience with the program: “After eight years as a district administrator, I wanted to become a better leader, one who could make situations and people better. The Admired Leadership® Institute has been an invaluable resource and profoundly altered my leadership path. The timeless and actionable behaviors I was able to embrace through the Admired Leadership® Institute have impacted me, my work and my interactions with others. How you spend your time shows what you value, and making time to become a great leader through the Admired Leadership® Institute will change your life,” she said.

The hybrid program will run March 17-August 18, 2022, beginning with a kick-off and introduction to Admired Leadership®, followed by five learning modules in the following areas: Why Should Anyone Follow You?®; The Secret to Inspiring Others; Making People Better® Through Feedback; What the Best Leaders Know About Relationships; and Elevating Performance and Holding Others Accountable.
