CCIU and Harrisburg University of Science and Technology to Host Scholastic Esports Summit

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — The Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) and Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (HU) have teamed up to present a day-long Scholastic Esports Summit on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

The virtual summit, ideal for high schools looking to establish esports clubs and teams, training for coaches, professional development and more, is set to take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

“We are delighted and grateful to collaborate with HU for this exciting event,” said CCIU Educational Innovation Specialist, Kammas Kersch. “Career readiness opportunities in emerging and unique fields like esports are so vital for students, parents and educators to experience before students complete their high school journey!”

Esports Summit

The summit will feature student presentations and panels, coaching discussions, streaming, social media, and esports career pathways and academics.
