WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Public Library’s Holiday Door Tour will be held beginning on the first Saturday of December in 2020. To preserve the health of Tour attendees through social distancing, this West Chester Public Library replacing their traditional Home Tour with a decorated “Door Tour,” which will run for 8 days from Saturday, December 5 to the following Saturday, December 12, 2020.
Front doors and porches on the tour will be decorated for the holidays (every religious/ethnic tradition welcome) to be enjoyed by attendees on a self-guided tour at a time of their choosing during the week. The goal is to create walkable clusters of homes, throughout the Borough of West Chester, that feature decorated front doors and porches.
In years past, the Holiday Home Tour has been the West Chester Public Library’s biggest fundraiser. Supporters can help replace the revenue from Holiday Home Tour ticket sales through the Holiday Door Tour and Appeal.
When patrons make a donation of any size to the library’s Holiday Appeal, they receive:
- A booklet with a Tour map
- A list of scavenger hunt items to look for, and
- An entry in our Holiday Raffle! Drawing to take place on Saturday, December 12 at 3 pm.
Your donation is your ticket to the Holiday Door Tour. Additionally, since the tour is self-guided, the “ticket” is for any day, at any time.
