Penn Oaks Golf Club Hosts the Second Annual Sow Good Now Golf Outing

WEST CHESTER, PASow Good Now, a faith-based non-profit organization aimed at empowering young athletes to share their time, talents, treasures, and ties, through the sports they love, will host its Second Annual Golf Outing on Monday, May 22nd, 2023.

The outing, which will be held at the prestigious Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester, Pennsylvania, teaches philanthropy to high school and college students through sports and is aimed at developing the next generation of philanthropic athletes. The organization has had over 1,700 athletes volunteering with youth in high-poverty areas.

The event is easily accessible to residents of Chester and neighboring Delaware County communities.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to meet past Sow Good Now Give Back athletes, including those who have participated in and benefited from the program in past years.

West Chester University’s Men’s Golf Head Coach Harry Hammond will be making a special appearance at the event. Hammond, a 55-year member of the PGA of America, is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Lebron Harris Sr. Award, which is awarded to a college or high school coach and PGA Professional whose support of the game through teaching, coaching, and civic involvement has helped ensure the continued growth of golf.

The outing will feature several contests throughout the day, including Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Beat a College Player, and a Hole in One contest with a chance to win a $10,000 cash prize.

Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.; and cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner at 5 p.m. There will also be an awards ceremony and a silent auction.
