UUT Awarded GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

Upper Uwchlan Township

CHESTER SPRINGS, PA — The Upper Uwchlan Township Board of Supervisors announced that the Township has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The CAFR for the year ending December 31, 2017, has been judged by an impartial panel and met the high standards of the program, which include demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial position.

This Certificate represents the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. 2017 marks the 3rd consecutive year that Upper Uwchlan Township has been awarded this Certificate of Achievement for the CAFR. In conjunction with this award, Township Treasurer Jill Bukata has been presented with an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement.

The Upper Uwchlan Township Board of Supervisors is committed to transparency and clarity in financial reporting. Members of the public may review budgets, audits, and financial reports and statements at www.upperuwchlan-pa.gov/finance. The Township website also features a Financial Dashboard, which displays real-time financial data detailing revenues and expenditures for all Township funds. Data is visualized in a variety of charts and graphs, displaying trends and changes over time.
