DEVON, PA —The Easttown Township’s Environmental Advisory Council and the Darby Creek Valley Association (DCVA) are inviting you to join in their annual efforts to keep our water clean! On April 15th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, members of the community are invited to three cleanup sites located in Berwyn and Devon.

At Sussex Place, volunteers can help remove debris that has accumulated along the stream banks. At Gwilym Circle, volunteers will be able to clear out invasive species and restore native vegetation. Lastly, at Hilltop Park, volunteers will be working on removing trash and other pollutants in order to keep the area safe and healthy.
This event is open to all ages and no experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm! All necessary supplies will be provided by DCVA, but please remember to dress appropriately for the weather conditions and wear closed-toe shoes.
In 2022, the DCVA made a notable impact on the local environment. Over the year, 40 cleanup events were held and 16,000 pounds of debris was collected from rivers and creeks in the area. This included items such as construction materials, metals, plastics, tires and single-use products including bottles, cans and food wrappers. This massive effort significantly improved the water quality of the waterways while also reducing human impact on them.
