WEST CHESTER, PA — During the month of November, the Chester County Community Foundation will host three Philanthropy Video Talks & Receptions open to the public. The series is a continuation of the Foundation’s programming to inspire and educate the community on legacy philanthropy and build a strong culture of nonprofits.
Each Philanthropy Video Talk & Reception will feature a viewing of Katherine Fulton’s TED Talk “You are the Future of Philanthropy” followed by a discussion led by local community members. Guests will be urged to join the discussion and imagine an ideal vision of philanthropy in Chester County, one that meets community needs today and in perpetuity.
- The first program will take place on Monday, November 4th at Longwood Gardens Theatre in Kennett Square, featuring panelists Scott Hattersley, Sugartown Smoked Specialties; Erik Gudmundson, Pegasus Technologies; Kathy Wileczek, CPA, Umbreit, Wileczek & Associates; and Stephanie Kalogredis, Esq., Lamb McErlane.
- The second program will be held on Tuesday, November 12th at Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, featuring panelists Virginia “Ginny” Kricun; Robb Frees, Frees Insurance; Tyler Frees, Frees Insurance; and Noel Stanek, Stanek Associates.
- The third program will take place on Wednesday, November 20th at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center in West Chester, featuring panelists Matthew Holliday, Prothonotary; Geradina Martin, West Chester University; Richard May, Baldwin Investment Management; and Steven Savage, Voya Financial.
“We hope the philanthropy video talks will nurture the culture of altruism, giving, and a sense of community in Chester County,” states Anthony Morris, Esq., President of the Chester County Community Foundation Board of Trustees. “Our first series in April was a huge success and we plan to continue to bring folks from the business community, nonprofit, and general public together to continue learning.”

Each program will begin at 4:30 pm with networking and receptions then will proceed with the TED Talk viewing and discussions at 5:00 pm, followed by additional networking and receptions around 6:30pm. All timing is approximate.
