DOWNINGTOWN, PA — If you’re looking for a way to get into the holiday spirit, the Downingtown Good Neighbor Christmas Tree Lighting is the perfect event for you! This year, it will be held on November 26th at 6:00 pm at the Log House Field. There will be face painting, hot chocolate, cookies, and holiday crafts for the kids. And best of all, it’s free!

The Christmas Tree Lighting is being held on Small Business Saturday. Small businesses are the backbone of the American economy, and Thanksgiving weekend is a great time to support them. Downingtown businesses offer a wide variety of goods and services, so you’re sure to find something for everyone on your list. And what better way to kick off the holiday shopping season than by exploring all the unique shops and stores our town has to offer?

After a day of shopping, be sure to grab a bite to eat at one of the wonderful restaurants Downingtown has to offer. Thanksgiving is a time to come together and support those who make Chester County such a great place to live. So this year, remember to shop local on Thanksgiving weekend!
