DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Despite chilly temperatures and wet weather, the spirit of the Downingtown community couldn’t be dampened as over 200 participants gathered at Eagleview Town Center for the 3rd Annual Snowball Shuffle on Saturday, March 2, 2024. This beloved event, hosted by Communities that Care of Greater Downingtown (CTC), not only brought the community together for a day of fun and festivity but also raised significant funds to support a healthier Downingtown for families and youth.

Each runner and walker who braved the cold was rewarded with a cozy long-sleeved sweatshirt, an assortment of goodies from generous event sponsors, and the warmth of fire pits and S’mores Stations, courtesy of West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. The deluxe Hot Chocolate Bar, sponsored by Citadel Credit Union, offered a sweet and warm respite from the brisk weather.

The event was marked by a display of team spirit and camaraderie, with participants dressing up and competing in spirited challenges. Team RDF Snowflakes led the charge by raising the most money, Team Hankin captured the prize for Most Team Spirit, and Team Thundersquall boasted the Most Team Participants. These moments of shared joy and enthusiasm underscored the community’s commitment to supporting one another.

Bethann Cinelli, CTC Executive Director, expressed her gratitude, stating, “Thank you to our community partners, sponsors, volunteers, family, and friends who joined us for the third annual CTC Snowball Shuffle. It was wonderful to see the community support, and we hope everyone had an awesome time running and walking in support of a healthy Downingtown.”

The event successfully raised over $31,000, enabling CTC to continue its vital work within the Downingtown community. This achievement was made possible through the support of numerous sponsors, including West Pharmaceutical Services; Citadel Credit Union; Brumbaugh Wealth Management; Hankin Group; and many more, who played a pivotal role in bringing this event to life.
