DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Downingtown Area School District (DASD) is inviting all community members to participate in a Town Hall event on Tuesday, May 24 at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held at STEM Academy (335 Manor Ave. Downingtown, PA 19335) and will review the various elementary construction opportunities currently under board consideration. The evening will conclude with a moderated question-and-answer opportunity with the board and administration.

Since 2006, DASD has been working toward the addition of district-wide full-day kindergarten. As the district has continued to grow and enrollment has increased, the board and administration have strategically evaluated facility construction options to provide appropriate class sizes and equity across the district.

After consulting multiple architectural and demographics firms, the administration and board have narrowed the construction options down to three choices. All three options provide for district-wide full-day kindergarten and address the growing enrollment needs of DASD.

Residents are invited to learn more about the proposed plans, costs, and timelines at www.dasd.org/construction. The site also includes a form where residents may share their feedback.
