COATESVILLE, PA — Entries for the 2020 Coatesville VA Medical Center Creative Arts Festival are being accepted from patients of the Coatesville VA Medical Center until February 19.
This annual festival provides Veterans receiving care at Coatesville VAMC, Delaware County VA clinic at Newtown Square, and Spring City VA Clinic the opportunity for creative self-expression and gain recognition for their artistic accomplishments.
Competition divisions include creative writing, dance, drama, music, fine arts, applied arts, crafts and additional special art categories. Some national competition winners will be invited to attend the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival during the week of October 26 through November 1.
To qualify for entry, the artist must be an active outpatient or inpatient of the VA Medical Center, VA Outpatient Clinic or resident of a state Veterans home. Artwork must have been created after April 1, 2019, and be submitted by February 19, 2020. A Veteran may enter up to three Art categories, but only one entry per category per Veteran.
Entries may dropped-off at the Coatesville VA Medical Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to the basement of building 7. Call the Recreation Therapy staff at (610) 384-7711 extension 2255 with your questions and to make special arrangements.
