DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Chester County Conference & Visitors Bureau has joined Delaware County’s Tourism Bureau, Visit Delco, PA, in their initiative to provide ‘Food for the Frontline’ to local healthcare heroes.

Visit Delco, PA organized and funded for 780 nutritious meals to be distributed to frontline healthcare providers at 6 Delaware County, PA hospitals earlier this month in time for the Passover and Easter holidays. The protein-rich, nutritious meals were prepared and fulfilled at cost by Drexelbrook Catering & Events Center.

Food for the Frontline
Visit Delco’s Protein Power Meal – The meal consists of a pan-seared boneless chicken breast topped with a blueberry balsamic glaze over an ancient grain salad mixed with fresh vegetables. A chocolate bite is attached to the container as a small boost.

Inspired by the initiative and looking to expand the reach, Chester County Conference & Visitors Bureau has partnered with J. Scott Catering and is joining the cause and amplifying the impact to reach healthcare providers throughout Chester County, PA.

Combined, the two counties have provided close to 3,000 meals, and are encouraging local businesses and residents to join them and multiply the impact by making donations.

A $9.50 donation will fund one nutritious meal for a healthcare worker. A donation of 25 meals will feed an entire department, and allow you the option to write a message of encouragement that will be delivered as part of the meal.
