Spotlight Concert featuring Craig Bickhardt, Thom Schuyler, and Tony Arata

BERWYN, PA — Trinity Presbyterian Church’s Spotlight Concert Series (Berwyn, PA) continues on Saturday, April 4th at 7pm with the return of three Country Music #1 hit-makers.

Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Craig Bickhardt (“In Between Dances”-Pam Tillis) and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees Thom Schuyler (“Love Will Turn You Around”-Kenny Rogers) and Tony Arata (“The Dance”-Garth Brooks) are joined by drummer Tommy Geddes.

Craig, Thom, and Tony are three of the original Writers in the Round at Nashville’s fabled Bluebird Café that was featured frequently in the hit Television series, Nashville.

You will be moved by all three performers, knocked out by their musicianship, and entertained by the wonderful, often hilarious stories they tell about their songs and careers.

Craig Bickhardt is a Delaware County resident, and has penned four #1 hits while living in Nashville. His songs have found their way onto platinum and Grammy-winning recordings by legends such as Johnny Cash, Martina McBride, Willie Nelson, Ray Charles, B.B. King, The Judds, Ty Herndon, Pam Tillis, Kathy Mattea and Alison Krauss.

His voice and songs can be heard in the Academy Award-winning film “Tender Mercies,” starring Robert Duvall.

Thom Schuyler is originally from Bethlehem, PA., and was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011. His songs have been recorded by more than 200 artists including “16th Avenue” by Lacy J. Dalton and “Long Line of Love” by Michael Martin Murphy.

His song “Love Will Turn You Around” (Kenny Rogers) was ASCAP Song of the Year in 1982, and American Music Awards Song of the Year in 1983. Thom’s latest album “Banks Of The Jordan” is a folky/country collection of unique Christian tunes that he penned and was produced by John Mock.

Tony Arata lives in Nashville, and was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012. He has penned songs for dozens of famed country artists, including Reba McEntire, Bonnie Raitt, Clay Walker and Lee Roy Parnell.

Arata’s best-known tune “The Dance,” was recorded by Garth Brooks, won Song of the Year at The Academy of Country Music Awards and it also was nominated for a Grammy. Tony has written four other #1 hits and seven other Garth Brooks songs including “Face to Face.”

All are welcome to join us for an enchanting and entertaining evening.  The doors will open at 6:30 PM. There is no charge for admission, but a free-will offering is suggested. Trinity Presbyterian Church is located at 640 Berwyn Avenue, Berwyn, PA. 19312. Parking is free. The church is also one block from the Berwyn train station (Septa’s Paoli-Thorndale line).
